? BURN FAT EARLY

Some of us could stand to lose a few pounds … perhaps even more than a few.  But to burn fat and lose weight successfully, it always seems like an uphill battle.  Eating healthy and getting the proper amount of exercise are the two basic prerequisites for a successful result.  But even if we do these basic things, we are not always seeing the results of our efforts.  Finally, there may be evidence that help us refine our approaches to exercise, and to optimize our time spent in workout … and to burn fat more efficiently.

Although it feels like I’ve always known this to be true, it’s now clinically proven (at least in this article) that working out early in the morning — before you’ve eaten breakfast — helps promote more efficient weight loss, as well as boosting your immune system and increasing energy levels – preparing your body for an all-day fat burn.

? THE STUDY

Twenty-eight healthy, young male volunteers aged 21 years of normal body weights participated in the study.  All subjects were involved in regular sports and physical activity for between 2 to 6 hours per week, but none of them was consistently endurance-trained in either cycling or running.

Subjects were asked not to participate in any strenuous exercise sessions other than prescribed by the study protocol during the period of the study.  The control group was repeatedly instructed not to change their normal participation in exercise and physical activities for the full duration of the study.

? THE RESULTS

In conclusion, it was demonstrated for the first time that early morning exercise in the ‘fasted state’ is more potent than an identical amount of exercise in the ‘fed state’, which leads to increased fat burn and ultimately, promoting weight loss.

So start doing your morning yoga, run or whatever exercise on an EMPTY stomach … FIRST thing in the morning!
