Calorie restrictive diet (CRD) has many benefits and could increase longevity and reduce the risk of many chronic diseases.  However, there may be other negative effects of it.

This study aimed to see if CRD affects quality of life (QOL), sexual function and sleep.

When assessed how CRD affect QOL, sexual function and sleep, in non-obese adults, CRD significantly improved mood, reduced tension and improved general health and sexual drive and relationship.  Sleep quality was also better.
